Haha, Dan -- just think, you could name them Peeve One, Peeve Two, Peeve Three...
Tnt, so agree on the flippant use of the word "bipolar".
Shattered -- I don't know for sure, but have heard that telemarketers use a thing that dials something like 10 numbers at a time, then connects whichever one is the first to pick up, and drop all the other numbers, leaving empty air. Could be that. Would explain why they keep at it too. Maybe the empty air isn't so bad when you consider the alternative peeve-maker...

I will say that slow walkers annoy me too, though... it's hypocritical as I'm sure I'm pretty slow when really depressed. Also now, much to the chagrin of my normally fast-walking self, when my hip/leg act up. I'm hugely self-conscious about it, especially, because like jadzea, I "look" totally fine. Sooo, actually it's more often it's a case not of slowness per se, but situational --things like tourists dawdling 3 wide blocking entire sidewalks or people who grocery shop in groups, lingering over and discussing every item like there's no one else trying to shop. Add the cart, and it really fries my bacon.

Anyhow(!) People using cell phones while interacting with clerks or servers in a restaurant (triple argh! points for giving dirty looks when the person must ask a question such as how they'd like their eggs. And while on the topic of cell phones... long and loud ringtones. I was in a post office one day trying to figure out why they had a loud radio intermittently playing. And on different stations(!) Ok, thick on my part for awhile, but still...

Nicely letting someone know they've left their lights on and getting snapped at. Sorry for trying to save you from having to deal with a dead battery! Doesn't happen so much anymore because I keep my yap shut realizing that apparently most people are lucky enough to not have to deal with this particular bane of the space cadet's existence anymore.

Oh, there are soooo many one hardly knows where to start...
