Vistaril is sort of a catch-all med. It is an anti-histamine, but gets used for various things. I was given vistaril to help with nausea as a side effect of another med. Helped with the nausea and made me very sleepy, which I suppose would help with anxiety if I was anxious. It isn't specifically an anti-anxiety med, however.
