in undergrad gen ed classes skipping class may not be a big deal as long as you are acing your exams (meaning nothing lower than A). But, beware that this behavior might follow you through your academic career if not nipped in the bud right now, and the behavior tends to take on a life of its own. For example, I basically never went to class the second semester of first year grad school program and now I'm looking down the seemingly endless and hopeless well of the "Medical Leave of Absence". If I don't go back by Sept then I don't get achance at finishing an MA and I'm left in the same spot I was four years ago when I first applied to grad school. Just my two cents.
