I agree with this. Sorry to say it, but teachers are human and not all of them love their jobs or the kids that they teach. I've had enough disgruntled, aparently broken down teachers in my school career to know they exist.

Or, you'll hear how a student was able to get one of these guns. Or a janitor or something else. Putting guns into schools isn't a good idea.

In high school (pre-Columbine) we always had a security guard and an actual armed officer at our school every day. But, my high school was huge and had a complicated hallway system, (the architect was famous for building prisons.... no joke!) I can only imagine being trapped in there....

And, sadly, this is not the first time this has happened and it's happened outside the States. Here is a link to informaton about it. But it was some pretty major and terrifying stuff happening in China. And, it didn't involve guns but knives, hammers.... well... gun control is important but, so is being able to get proper treatment for mental health issues. I'm not saying all mentally ill people are dangerous (obviously not) but there is that 1% or whatever that are, and having a better system for getting help either for yourself or your loved ones is needed, and I don't have an answer on how to do that. And that includes people who are ill by stress induced reasons. Because, this type of violence requires some type of break from reality or rationality, especially from people who were previously not violent at all. But here's the link.
