No, I don't want to see armed teachers. Guns are instruments and symbols of power that have the function to intimidate those who want to do you harm. This might be beneficial in a warzone with countless enemy soldiers around you. In a school they would also intimidate the majority of students and discourage them from learning because they will be afraid of their teacher. And I personally think, that the presence of armed policemen on school premises also contributes to an atmosphere of fear.
I know that some of the killers sought for help before they started their rampage but never got it, were not listened to or taken seriously. So the answer cannot be guns but more psychologically trained counsellors. And not one counsellor for 500 kids and teachers, but one for 50. That's were the money should go.
