You don't have to wait to feel motivated. You know what you need to do; that is enough. The first step is to start gathering together all your relevant history - places you worked, school you have attended, skills you have acquired, people who are references. A lot of places require applying online so you will need a list of local businesses and you will need to figure out which ones require going online and which ones require showing up in person to get the applications. It is better to plan on bringing all your information with you and filling out the applications while you are out. It ends up taking a lot longer to bring the application home and then find the motivation to fill it out and take it back. I don't really know what else there is to do; I think it is just a matter of filling in applications and turning them in. You may remember more people or places as you go and write them down with the rest of your information if you can. Having everything in one place makes it much easier and faster to get those applications filled out.
