Agreed.

I remember an episode of one of those "Law & Order" shows a few years ago. Stabler's daughter was diagnosed as bipolar and it turns out his mother was, too. He hadn't had anything to do with his mother for years because of it.

Currently, a major character on "The Young and the Restless" has been diagnosed with bipolar, but the writers obviously haven't investigated the condition because they are having the character act in a way that is NOT consistent with bp.

I just wish writers would take more responsibility and portray it in a realistic manner.
