I agree this is a terrible idea and will only add to the stigma and hurt people with mental illness. I cant imagine why they think mentally ill people are dangerous I just wonder where they get these ideas. Im not a gun owner and never would as I can be a danger to myself and I know that. So I dont own a gun. But thats what resposible people should do if they know they may be a danger to someone or themselves then owning a weapon may be a bad idea it should be up to the state to reguate wether or not you get a gun.
