Yeah, when I'm a guest I'm nervous about that kind of thing, too.

What makes me really nervous is not knowing what other people expect as "normal." Like if I don't even know that they do something, so I don't do it. Know what I mean?

Hell, I didn't even know the silverware basket in my dishwasher lifted out until a friend came over a few years ago and she insisted on helping. She lifted that puppy out, turned around to the silverware drawer, and started putting stuff away. I never dreamed it was loose. I used to bend over, take each piece of silverware out individually, turn around, and then put them in the silverware drawer.
