I talked about it briefly with my p-doc friend. In his opinion it is definitely a bad idea to mixalcohol with 1) all benzos 2) drugs with a pronounced sedative effect such as Clozapine. For drugs that are neither 1) nor 2), there is no danger from moderate alcohol consumption, so, say, my main drug, Lithium, is in the clear. My friend has twenty years of experience. I have also asked him to look at French websites dedicated to consumer information about mental health in France to see what they recommend in terms of alcohol consumption, because I am very curious.
