All of my courses are in computer science, networking or programming/software development. In my backpack or on my person:

- small accordion folder for loose-leaf papers and any hard-copy material I receive +
- laptop
- wallet
- student ID (security guards randomly ask to check for it)
- charger
- external mouse
- Ethernet cable (some rooms have worse wireless than others)
- pens, pencils, eraser, loose-leaf paper, lead refills & calculator
- snacks, water/pop and lunch *
- glasses so I can see
- headphones
- small stapler (professors hate paper clips)
- phone with cable for charging
- lots of gum
- textbooks (I try to avoid taking all of them because some are enormous)

* = Although I take a lunch, I may also buy something else to eat.
+ = After each day, I take the papers out and sort them into their appropriate polyenvelope folders.
