I saw two friends today, after a long gap.

1) the guy who was my colleague when I taught English part time and he taught physics. He works in Toulouse, France and has been for several years but he did his PhD in the US. I last had email contact with him in 1996 and last saw him in early 1990s. From my memory, I recalled that back then he lived in Princeton and had a Thai gf. He corrected me - not Princeton but Rutgers and a Taiwainese gf, now long ex.

Well, not so bad - Princeton and Rutgers are geographically close and Thailand and Taiwan are both in Asia and both begin with a T.

2) Katya, my long time gf whom I last saw in her apartment in 1996. From my memory, her apartment number was 72. She corrected me: it is 70. She lives in downtown Moscow and I found her apartment bldg from memory, without looking up directions online.

On the one hand, it seems pretty good - I remember things pretty closely. On the other hand, I am thinking, if I go back to school and start answering exam questions ALMOST correctly, nobody will give me good grades.
