Have you talked to you DR????? If you communicate to him, maybe he can manipulate your entry information so you can be placed into that unit.
I am guessing that the unit you want to be in is the "closed unit". That unit is usually only for people who are on holds & are put there because they are harmful to themselves or others. (suicidal or homicidal) That unit is there to protect them & get them through an acute situation.
The problem might be that you don't fit the requirements that it takes to be put into that acute unit. What might be the problem is that you know that you feel that the acute unit is the right place for you because you because you feel that you can't be around many people & can't participate in the groups. The problem is that those feelings aren't the suicidal or homicidal feelings that are required to fit the determination for the acute unit.
It is possible for your Dr to manipulate your entry information to fil the acute unit requirements if you talk to him & explaine your situation.....but it has to be up to him. He may be trying to get you through your need to be away from people by putting you into the open unit or maybe he doesn't understand what you are going through at this time. Without talking to him, you won't know what happened.
Give it another try.....it sounds like you really need to be hospitalized......don't throw away your chance for help either.
Take care of yourself.....I am sure your Dr can work with you & start you out in the closed unit until you can feel safe enough to be transferred to the open unit......don't give up.....give your Dr another try.
