Ok, this seems somewhat silly but I forgot to go get my birth control shot in October (oops! usually I cramp and spot the week before I'm supposed to get it - nothing). I slept with an ex on December 23. I got the test results back from the doctor today - not pregnant. I still haven't had a period.

Now for the kinda silly part. He lives in New Mexico (the guy who would have been the father if there was a baby), I live in Texas. Before Christmas he told me he was unwilling to move to Texas, into the house I own to give a try at a relationship (we've never actually lived in the same state but have dated several times.. known each other for 12 years). A couple of years ago he offered to move down here and marry me but I had just gotten out of an abusive relationship and didn't want to carry that with me.

Fast forward to this year: he was very adamant about liking his life there and his friends and the fact that he was in the same town as his family and therefore would not be moving. When I thought I might be pregnant, I told him and there was some blame throwing around.

I called him today to tell him the test was negative.. what do you know - he was sad too. Totally not the response I was expecting! I told him my offer still stands. He can move down here and still pay all his bills there so he has a place to go if we decide it's not going to work and he doesn't screw his roommate with the lease. He's considering it. I'm shocked - and happy - and sad all at the same time.
