Just to clarify.... inducing symptoms that look like a mental disorder doesn't mean there's some sort of direct relationship between the physical brain manipulation and the disorder itself.

You can cause yourself a headache fairly reliably by allowing yourself to become dehydrated. But dehydration sets a chain reaction of events into motion which is more likely to cause the headache. Still, there are dozens of other causes of headaches, dehydration being just one.

So while I hope this does lead to a greater understanding of schizophrenia and other mental disorders, I think first appearances can often be deceiving or lead us to hope that this will lead to a quick cure.
