To make a long story short...(is that possible?) my 7 year old blind special needs daughter is sexually abusing/psychologically abusing her. red flags went up in the middle of last summer but never thought in a million years so brushed it off. nov. 3rd i went to check on her and found her bent over a chair naked at her fathers place smelling of urine and nobody watching her. the father was in his room sleeping, tried to wake him but he wouldnt so i took my daughter home and got a call from him saying that im making a big deal out of nothing cuz "sal" was watching her. who the eff is "sal?"
i was dumbfounded...so you mean some guy i dont know whatsoever was watching my daughter while she was naked bent over a chair? unacceptable! i freaked out on the inside. that night after giving my daugher a bath she made a comment saying "dont tell anybody" now you cannot have a back and forth conversation with my daughter. she only mimics or parrots words or phrases that she has heard or have been said to her. she comprehends what is going on and what people are saying her brain just doesnt come up with things on its own so much.
did i say long story short? grrrrrrrrr...so the school had already sent a social worker from CPS out to check on her fathers' living conditions so I went to her with my concerns of possible sexual abuse not accusing anyone just stating my daughters words and behavior and info of another man living with her father. There has been excessive sexual behavior from my daughter used in a violent manner as well. The social worker spoke to the father finally and came to the conclusion there was no danger.
the father then came to me inquiring of my statements to the social worker and when i told him what our daughter had said he was dead silent to the point i thought the call had dropped. he then said "she siad that?" referring to her comment of "dont tell anybody." he then told me to stop making a bid deal out of ****ing nothing.
my stomach dropped. If the tables were turned and he came to me with these concerns i would be asking a million questions doing everything i could to get to the bottom of things. he wont talk about any of it with me.
hahahahha...long story short...i was told by the social worker that she couldnt help me and that i should file a modification of custody with the family court so i did. by law, im supposed to notify the other person before 10 am the day before i plan to file the paperwork and considering the fathers' mother is an attorney, i did. he went down to the court the day i notified him to file his own paperwork so it would be filed before mine without notifying me. therefore it appeared that i was making claims of sexual abuse in retaliation of his modification of custody. when i went to court i was informed a court date had already been set and that my emergency order was denied.
in the meantime i had documented everything and went to the ER and made police reports and not one single person has helped me with anything. not the doctors, the court. the police...no one. my daughter has been slowly slipping away from me and i dont know what to do. she's mad and confused and i dont blame her one bit. we went to our court date on the 31st of dec. and he got her more time and she's gotten significantly worse" one more time i will snap.
i guess what im looking for is someone who can point me in the direction of a lawyer that will be willing to take on a family law case pro bono or any advice on where to get therapy for limited cost. i dont work and live off her SSI. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
