I very much enjoyed my old laptop (dual boot windows and linux). It was great..especially the years I was majoring in computer science. Linux was required for programming but sometimes isn't as user friendly as windows (XP professional.. not this new crap where they hide all your options so you can't "mess anything up"). That's just dumb.
I understand that not every user needs to change their operating system but it's really annoying when you're trying to do something at all "advanced" and have to hunt all over for the options. I very much like my relatively new mac laptop. I find it user friendly for what I want. But I've got a friend who has a PC with windows 7. I swear every time I go over there to fix something for him (he's all thumbs) I have to unhide like 6 different layers of stuff. Seriously - he just wanted to play a dos game.. I shouldn't have to install a whole new program to override the operating system to get a dos prompt. I know dos is there, in the background... it shouldn't be that hard to access (and seeing as how I didn't want to uninstall windows and set up a partition for dos/linux to run to play a game written in the 80's).
lol *end rant* Sorry.. I was inspired by the comment about a 5 min battery life. That's why I finally replaced my PC laptop. I was going to school and had to have something that would hold a charge.
