We may have regrets -- but resentment is "the poison I take to kill you." No one knows we resent them. By resenting someone or something, all we're doing is killing ourselves! We're eating ourselves from the inside, out. It's a slow, painful "death" of our soul. And what is the point?
Isn't it better to get rid of the resentments? Isn't it better to finally give them up - either by praying to our Higher Power (if we have one) to take them away? Or perhaps by just saying it's too much trouble carrying them around anymore because they're too heavy?
Regrets are basically the same -- we can't do a thing about them. Those days are gone, and we can't change what was. But we can change the here and now. We can strive for a better future. Forget the regrets -- don't let them haunt you anymore. They're wasting your time, and hurting your heart.
God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee
