loss of appetite is also a side effect of some medications. Try drinking ginger tea. It stimulates appetite and makes you want to eat. It's also calming for nausea. Take an inch of REAL ginger root, boil it for 5 minutes and drink a cup of the tea before a meal. You can add a little sugar if it's too spicy but I wouldn't recommend killing the spice, that's what makes you want to eat.
Also, you may just be really bored with american cuisine. Try some ethnic variety in your diet. No, not italian or chinese....unless it's real chinese like dimsum, not the sugary cantonese western-world junkfood. The REAL ethnic stuff. Moroccan, lebanese, indian, thai, vietnamese, filipino etc. Balancing spices like cumin and cardamom are great for appetite problems.
