My safety plan is ever evolving and changing to keep up with my needs. As I get better some things (like someone else having the only key to the safe with my medication) have fallen to the wayside and some things have become more important (like when I was buying a house - I could have bought a brand new house for less than I paid for mine - built in the 50's but it would have been a 10+min drive away from my parents' houses) part of my safety plan was someone being able to get here FAST during a crisis. I also paid extra to have a keypad installed on my front door - you can use a key or a code to get in. Each member of my family has their own code so they can get in quickly in an emergency. No searching for keys.

I had the beginnings of the plan when I was living with my dad. When I decided to move out on my own and buy my own house I had to expand the plan. Like I said, it's ever improving. I was hoping someone might have their own plan - to help me flesh out mine. I know it's still lacking in areas but I feel a lot safer than I did before I started working on the plan.
