I have a friend who have a few different personalities that are very different from each other. He is a lovely person, or at least his talkative part is, he has a silent part that is hard to talk to since I can only talk to a talker. LOL.

His parts are distinct in many ways. He can stay in that part for a long time sometimes. He has zero amnesia. He is aware of himselves. He used to be DX DDNOS which made a lot of sense since some amnesia is needed for the diagnosis of DID. But they changed him to DID and he was surprised and so was I. I have never met a he that he didn't remember. It might exist but there has not been a mentioning it from the staff.

So while I still would say this is DDNOS, it can be DID in some cases. I don't understand how though.
