I can't very well do that, since those places are the places I usually am such as my moms house, grocery stores, visiting my dad ect. There are also some places in the dream that don't exist but I end up in repeatedly in dreams.

I don't experience the disturbing feelings everywhere I am in real life, well aside from maybe still having the crap from the dream stuck in my head and any anxiety, depression or PTSD symptoms I might experince throughout the day. As for what kind of disturbing things in the dreams it varies it could be something rather stupid but upsetting like me and my sister getting in a big conflict, or maybe people getting killed or almost killed, or maybe things related to negative past experiences.
