I know exactly what you're dealing with! Anger is my secondary emotion to happiness. If I'm not happy, I'm usually incredibly angry/annoyed. I wish I could think of more ways to help you help yourself, but honestly? When you're so angry, you don't WANT to do anything to fix it!! You can't actually see anything as being helpful because your anger takes control of you... My best suggestions that help me on occasion are:
- Working out/yoga.
- Meditating [breathing meditations are best because you're concentrating on the breath & can shift your focus away from the rambling angry dialogue in your head].
- Listening to music.
- Watching a funny movie or stand-up [best fix, in my opinion!].
- Pampering yourself.
- Just take a nap, if all else fails. It won't fix it forever but it'll at least stop it from getting worse for a while.
