LoL not good at it but once I crocheted a round rug (same method as round oven mit) from scrap fabric strips with a big needle. It was so fun because it was so fast and the rug was done in 3 days. If you tear big pieces of fabric stop ripping 1-2 inches (same as the strips are broad) before the end and start at the side so you end up with one long strip instead of many short ones.
