Hi and welcome. I'm glad you posted.

Honey, if you THINK you're depressed, you probably are. The first thing you should do is talk to your doctor and have him refer you to a good therapist. In therapy, we can talk to the professional and he's able to work with us to help us deal with the depression. Sometimes we have "issues" that we don't even KNOW we have !! I had several that I wasn't even aware of, and I was so grateful to have gone thru depression so I could deal with them and not be so mentally "sick" anymore. In years past, i had even been in a mental hospital due to my mental problems, so I knew I was sick.

So talk to your doctor, and I'm sure he'll refer you to a GOOD therapist. The therapist can decide if you need medications or not. Many times we don't. Many times therapy is enough.
