Just a question. Has anyone else had major problems with a short term disability provider? My std provider waited three weeks to tell me a claim was denied, then denied my appeal, even though my therapist and pdoc both said I was having psychotic symptoms and was still manic. If I do truly loose my job over it, I intend to go after my employer on the basis of breaking the covenant of good faith for wrongfully terminating me. Either way, I plan on taking my std provider to court for waiting three weeks to deny my claim and then denying my appeal, when I had two separate people stating I had to be off. I just don't know if I have the ability to go after the std provider legally. Any one have similar experiences or any legal background?
