It was lucky for me and my sibling that he focussed on the bike part and not the hit by car part. Parents would not have handled him being afraid of the car well, and I would have hated not being able to save him. With the bike, they just sort of made fun of him and I could tell him he was not really a baby just because he did not want to ride a bike.
