You dad had no right to strike out at your sister. This is a tough question, and only you can really know the answer for it. Taking sides in family is hard, but he shouldn't have acted the way that he did cause she said no about mowing the lawn. Maybe she shouldn't have told him no, but he shouldn't have hit her... He is more in the wrong then she is.
