This is the first day I've felt really noticeably better from this wicked flu I caught from my daughter. I actually started calling it "influenza" because "flu" seemed too light and fluffy a word for how ill we were.

The last two days were the first time I went out and fed my horses since I got sick the weekend before (they had hay and they're on pasture so they weren't starving). Carrying the three five gallon buckets of wet feed had me completely exhausted and shaking. They were happy to see me anyway, and it is the coolest thing on the earth to hear the rumble and thunder of hooves as they gallop in from pasture.

Oh, last night on TV, there was a scene that had that sound of thundering hooves, and our young dog (a herding breed), came flying into the living room, all tense and ready to herd. LOL.
