I made an appointment for next week with the doc who did surgery on me. The nurse was trying to tell me the PA said I'd have to go to my primary care doc to deal with how to get off Vicodin, and I told her I didn't think that was right. She wasn't the one who put me on it, and as far as I am concerned, the prescriber should give me guidelines for getting off.

The nurse said since I was still having so much pain, I could make an appointment with the orthopedist, so I quickly took her up on it. I did hurt my knee a bit last night when I was walking without my cane, so I think that's why my pain was worse today. I told my PT, but she put me through a tough workout anyway, just saying to let her know if I just couldn't work despite the pain.

Then I called my pharmacist and at least she told me to stay on the dose I wanted for a week, then cut down and stay on that a week. She said she didn't know what the orthopedist had in mind with the Tramadol either, like should I start taking more as I get off of Vicodin, take more after I get off Vicodon or what.

I am so fed up with doctors.
