It will feel good when you realize that what you did was the best thing for YOU. It will feel good when you realize that if you had stayed with this guy, things would never have improved. You can NOT change anyone -- and this guy would NEVER have changed for you or anyone else.

You did what was best for YOU. And I applaud you for doing it. It's not easy to do -- but you did it, and you got rid of stuff that reminded you of him. That's good too! So congratulations!
