Nice =/= good.

You can be good person without being nicety nicey nice all the time. You can be smiley and nice backstaber. It's the intentition and the deeds that do count.

To me nice people are those who smile all the time, never cut in lines or swear and would never do anything inapropriate (no matter how appropriate is a social construct for most of the part, hence vague and shallow). Good people may use the word f--- a lot, have "questionable" love life and be sometimes rough, but will stand up for what is right (it's actually nicedness which often prevents people from standing up for themselves and others too...).
Nice people care about what would neighbours think. "good" people say that only God can judge them and believe God doesn't care for etiquette.
