I use it to prevent the highs and the only side effect I have is the thyroid dysfunction, so I need to take Levoxyl, a synthetic thyroid hormone, as an antidote. Levoxyl itself causes no side effects. So it works well for me. It was not sufficient though to remove suicidal ideation.
