according to my understanding....

Schizophrenia is you have psychosis but no mood disorders

Schizoaffective is taht you short of have a combo of schizophrenia with a mood disorder (either depressive or bipolar type.) But they work seperately of each other in that you have psychosis regardless of mood and mood regardless of psychosis.

Bipolar with psychotic features is you have bipolar but when depressed or manic you have psychosis at the same time. When the mood goes away, so does the psychosis.

I don't have a full diagnosis because I quit going before everything got fully figured out. So, I have bipolar NOS (not one or two) with ultradian cycling and possible psychotic features tagged on the end (as not a dx, becuse that wasn't fully figured out yet.)

So, I always wonder about me because I had that big psychotic episode that lasted around five years without relief but no treatment. So, I have always hoped to go back and get answers eventually. I don't think moods last for five years....
