With me it just depends on what I'm listening to. If I'm really depressed, sometimes I will listen to Frank Sinatra or something up beat and it does help a little, at least for the time being. If I'm anxious or stressed, I listen to something more on the mellow side. I used to purposely listen to depressing music or watch a depressing movie when I was depressed because I would cry and thought I was relieving some of my emotions--but then I realized that it was making my depression worse.
