Stayed for 12 days due to bad bipolar depression. Even though im pretty young, i was on geriatric unit due to all my serious physical health problems. Had meds tweaked a little. Had bad seizure one of last days there n EMS n hospital they transported me to treated me horribly bc thought i was faking it bc didnt wanna be discharge. Once he read my chart n saw extensive seizure history his attitude changed. As far as being on geriatric unit, was good in a way bc some of them related about the health stuff. Trying to adjust to being home now.....still depressed n lots of sleep problems, but not in immediate danger like i was so thats good. Hoping upping the tramadol didnt cause the seizure bc it is a med used to treat seizures as well as depression. Guess will know if starts happening more frequently. This seizure was different type than i normally have. Was more like grand mal w shaking n couldnt speak for hours afterwards. Psych hosp nurses knew it was real....info just got screwed up from administration there....people who had never met me or saw what happened.....gotta love that. Mom followed n they sent a tech to babysit me, which was irritating bc she was not very nice at all. Hate being treated n looked at differently bc am a psych patient!!!! Psych patients have seizures too people!!!! Wake up!!!
