Myself, my blood counts have been normal since late February and I'm considered "in remission." They told me not to walk around for the rest of my life, worried that the aplastic anemia will return, for 2 reasons: one, it may NOT return, you never know, and two, now that they have a handle on what happened, they're monitoring me for its return on a fairly regular basis, and will catch it, if it returns, at the beginning instead of near the very extreme end. Mild to moderate cases can be handled easily on an outpatient basis, with drugs.
