Hi Avuna and all. I have found that the only successful method for my specific kind of obsessive eating is to completely cut out the things I crave the most. eg: no sugar. I found a low calorie kind of potato chips called popchips. I had a small bag. I think there are 120 calories in it. of course that escalated to a bag a day. And then it was 2 bags a day. I cannot have this. It is on my list of foods that I must stay away from. For me it is like an alcoholic is with alcohol. Just as they cannot have a sip of alcohol. I cannot have those things I like the most. I was eating a half watermelon a day. So I had to stop that. I then started eating an apple a day. That escalated to 2. So I stopped apples. While this is treating the symptoms and not whatever is the underlying cause. It at least manages the condition.

I do not think my soecifics are applicable to everyone. But it is the only thing that behaviorally works for me. I do not eat sugar or wheat. I will not have snack foods. If I start, it will get out of hand very quickly. And I have to limit many other foods. Painful. But whatever works. Wishing you luck trying to navagate your way through what works for you. Its a challenge, to say the least
