I attend groups from time to time and I have a couple visable scars.

as long as you have no fresh cuts visable and you are not being seen by this professional for individual therapy sessions there is nothing the professional can do. she/he cannot even bring it up to you during or after group. you on the other hand can if you want to bring it up at any point.
