I suspect we have all wanted to just take off and start over again someplace else. At least I know I have. But, if that's not an option, then we just have to hang in and make the best of things. Would it really be to your advantage, especially for your future, to quit school?

I'm wondering, do you know for sure if "fatso" will be back next year at your school, and if so, if you'll have to be in his class? If you do have to end up with him again, is it possible you could keep thinking about just getting through (even count the days down--I'd check off each day on my calendar and know each day I was getting closer to being done.) If he does upset you a great deal, could you talk to a school counselor?

Please feel free to keep us posted about how things are going. And if you do end up with him next year, then we do listen to complaints about teachers!

And you will be finished at some point and probably never see a lot of those folks again either. I tend to do stupid things at new places, too. You are human and we humans actually all do "stupid" things. I know it's hard to put things in perspective right now, but this too shall pass. And when you do start at a new place--possibly college--you can start over then!
Thanks for this!
