we all gather
in a place that is safe and sound
and it brings us together
and forms bonds that would never have been found

it's our place to be
and no one can take that away from me

so i am grateful for this place that i can go
when the world is too much for me
and everything is crashing down
it's the only place where I can be

truly me
without judgement
and I can be honest
and people get what i meant

when I say things that are off the wall
it's a place where I can stand tall
and learn the lessons I didn't get a chance
to learn as a kid, where i'm safe from the fall

that comes with learning these things
and helps me deal with what life brings
