My doctor mentioned something I hadn't heard of today: n-acetylcysteine (NAC) as a treatment for bipolar. Evidently, there have been some studies that show it's effective with several mental/behavioral health issues, including bipolar disorder. I'm reading some research articles now (Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience amongst others). I did a search here on the forums and saw it mentioned with Autism and a post about schizophrenia. I didn't see anything else, so I thought I'd ask: has anyone here tried NAC as part of bipolar treatment? Heard of someone who has? Anything at all to share about it.
