I agree with the others. It's not fair for him to arbitrarily decide that you're going to retire when YOU are 20 years from retirement age! It sounds like he didn't even consult you. That's not fair. It might be okay for him, but what about you? Does he make these decisions like this often -- without consulting you at all?

It's time to sit down and talk -- and get some compromise going. He can't just decide for BOTH of you! Marriage is a partnership -- both have to make the decisions, right? Maybe he needs a reminder. Or a kick in the pants. LOL Good luck and let us know how you come out.
