Sure, that can happen. So many factors, imo, contribute to it, such as how tired you were when you began, how hot the water and how you respond to it, etc. Fifteen minutes is my limit for heat or cold, btw.
Do you have a shower chair to sit in? They're great!
I think you will feel ok after a short rest, at least I hope so. The heat will help your muscles recover sooner perhaps?
