Hi,

I got on SSDI in 2012 and imo it takes a lot of getting used to going from 40-60 hr work weeks to nada. For a long time I didn't do many productive things, I just rested and came down from my mania.

It is very important to have a schedule I believe. I quit volunteering because it made me panic & manic lol. Today, I read a ton of books on my kindle, joined a gym, go to AA, listen to loud music when I clean, shop at thrift stores, don't sleep in, and cook for my husband. My goal is to get into free-lance writing, and I am taking a writing course in Feb at the local library. Someday I hope to work 10-20 hours a week in a low stress job.

I used a lawyer and was approved for SSDI in 6 months. I had a pdoc backing me, years of medical records, tons of medication, and I had been laid off 2x's in 2 years.
Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Peace & Hugs,

TnT
