aah, Littlefish, you might want to try meditation. there are so many ways to meditate, some with help from sounds or pictures. there is also a "Mindfulness Meditation group on PC. that is the method i prefer.
you sit or lay down, and focus your mind on your breath, perhaps counting at first to help you stay focused (1001, 1002, 1003,, etc, on the outbreath), but just letting your thoughts and feelings happen, and letting them go. soon, your brain will acquire the strength to focus longer and longer.
when you have this focus ability, you can contemplate a single idea. as you become stronger at focusing you will find other abilities becoming easier. before long you will begin to feel that inner warmth, that is the light of being at ease with yourself.
