Do you feel that you can pull yourself back to reality if you want when in these states? I have experienced a disconnection similar to what you describe before, and, like you, I don't think I was on medication, at least not my current meds. The difference this time for me was the feeling of confusion. It was very scary to all of the sudden be so confused. I feel pretty normal this morning. Thank goodness! I hope nothing like this happens while teaching.
