The first thing the psychiatrist will need to know is "Have you ever been sexually active?" If the answer is "No," then it is unlikely (not impossible) that you could have any infection, other than a yeast infection. Remedies for that can be bought over the counter. Talking to your psychiatrist might be a good idea, as a way of preparing you to face the challenge of talking to another doctor.
Without a physical examination, I doubt that a psychiatrist is going to confirm, or dispute, that you have vaginismus. The best that the psychiatrist can do is to refer you to a someone competent to rule out other problems. I would urge you to consider seeing a female OB-GYN. You could make the first appointment a simple "sit-down and talk" visit.
It's possible that you may have urethritis. That can be due to an infection, or just irritation from a number of factors. Also, it is possible that you may have something unusual about your anatomy that is causing a problem. The solution may not necessarily be anything terrifying. That's why I urge you to see a female doctor and sit and talk, first.
I hope you can overcome your fear and get the help you really need.
