If people think bad things about me.... any people, not here, ANY people.... I would much rather they said it to my face.... IF they give me a chance to reply. Then I would know how much of their perception of me is the "truth" and how much is their distortion (sigh)

I do know who I am. Someone can tell me a hundred times I am a "mean person" (not that they have) and I would know it is a lie or a distortion

I am also very good at spotting insincerity in others...... sometimes I wish I wasn't as this has caused me to fall out with some people. But again, if they walk away so easily, I do question if they were ever really friends. And then my trust issues kick in (SIGH) Sometimes I am TOO HONEST. Sometimes I was TOO TRUSTING... believing that someone really did care

I guess some people aren't able to deal with "mature" conflict resolution, or the attempt to do so.......they either hit and run..... or just run.

Very triggering stuff for me .... there aren't many words to describe it that can be used here. I KNOW what it feels like to me though
