okay: this is going to sound maybe a strange suggestion, but bear with me:
i have this problem too- and i usually watch something, or listen to a cd, and a minit later, forget what it is.
now i just got myself a massage chair- and it makes a loud sort of whirring sound when it's turned on.. so i find a combination of the sound it makes, and the ocasional contact with the body makes it easier for me to remember things- and sometimes now, i even ask myself questions to see if i remember it
